Policy & Notices Tab

The Policy & Notices section defines how enforcement is applied.

This includes:

  • The active MAP policy

  • Strike structure (warnings and escalation steps)

  • Notice templates used in enforcement

Policy overview

The policy defines:

  • Start and end dates

  • Enforcement style (e.g., seller-based)

  • Linked policy documentation

It also summarizes recent enforcement activity, such as:

  • Violations over time

  • Sellers currently in enforcement

Enforcement style

Your MAP enforcement is configured to run in one of two styles: seller-level or listing-level. The style determines how violations are tracked and how notices are sent.

Seller-level enforcement

Violations are tracked at the seller level. When you take enforcement action, a single notice is sent to the seller regardless of how many individual listings are in violation.

The seller advances one step through the strike plan as a whole. There is no separate tracking per listing.

This style is best suited for programs that want to hold sellers accountable as a whole rather than managing each product listing individually.

Listing-level enforcement

Violations are tracked at the individual listing level. Each listing moves through the strike plan independently, so the same seller can be at different enforcement steps for different products.

This style is best suited for programs that need granular control over enforcement on a product-by-product basis.

How to change your enforcement style

Enforcement style is set at the account level and can only be changed by your Wiser Customer Success Manager. To request a change, contact your CSM directly.

Important: Changing enforcement style resets all violation and enforcement history. This action cannot be undone. Before requesting a change, make sure you have exported or documented any enforcement records you need to retain.

Strike plan

The strike plan determines how violations escalate.

Typical steps include:

  • Warning notice

  • Strike 1, 2, and 3 notices

  • Final enforcement actions (e.g., do not sell)

Each step includes:

  • A defined notice

  • A timing interval (grace period)

  • A clear progression path

Notice templates

Notice templates are the messages sent to sellers during enforcement.

From this section, you can:

  • Review and manage existing notices

  • Assign notices to policy steps

  • Create optional notices for specific scenarios

These templates ensure consistent communication across all enforcement actions.
