Renaming a Merged Seller

Give merged sellers a clear, custom display name

When you merge related sellers together, the merged (parent) seller initially keeps the name pulled from extraction. This is often prefixed with the originating marketplace, such as "amazon.com" plus the seller name. You can rename this parent seller to something more meaningful to your team.

This rename can be made from any screen where the seller's detail page appears, including:

  • The Contacts / seller detail page

  • The seller details view accessed from Enforcement

When you save a new name, it updates everywhere at once including the page title, the seller card, enforcement tables, and Reporting exports.

What gets renamed

Renaming only changes the seller's display name. The underlying seller identity used for extraction and listing matching is not affected.

Validation and reset

  • Names are checked for duplicates; this check is not case-sensitive.

  • Saving the rename field as blank resets the display name to the original extraction name. This is useful if you mistype or forget the original name.
