What to do if the Wiser App is crashing or performing slowly

We, here at Wiser, are obsessive about maintaining optimal performance while also pushing the limits of the latest and greatest in technology. The Wiser App supports over 13,000 Android and iOS devices, however, numerous factors can cause it to perform poorly including: device model, OS, signal strength, available RAM, and available internal storage.

Below are common steps that can help to ensure optimal performance:

  1. Ensure you are on the most updated version

  2. Ensure you do not have "battery save mode" activated as this will throttle app performance. The below articles include instructions to turn "battery save mode" off for your device:

  3. Verify GPS and other permission based settings are enabled. This can also be verified from the Settings page within Wiser. If it is not enabled, tap the settings wheel icon to be taken to the Wiser Permission settings for your device. Validate that all permissions are granted.

4. Force close Wiser and other open applications

5. Ensure you have at least 1GB of storage space available

6. Ensure you are on a strong WiFi or Cellular connection and submit all pending or saved work

7. Uninstall and reinstall the Wiser Application. NOTE: DO NOT do this before you have submitted all your work in Step #6. Any pending or saved work will be lost.

If after going through all steps above and your Wiser application is still performing poorly please contact support.
