Keep this glossary handy while using MAP Intelligence. These are the most common terms you will see across the dashboard, tables, and reports.
Term | Definition |
MAP | Minimum Advertised Price. The lowest price at which a product may be advertised, as defined by your MAP policy and provided during onboarding. |
Violation | An instance where an observed advertised price is below the defined MAP value. Violations are supported by captured evidence such as a screenshot and timestamp. |
New Violation | A violation that has been detected for the first time or has reappeared after being resolved. Used to highlight recent pricing activity. |
Existing Violation | A violation that has persisted across multiple crawls and has not yet been resolved. |
Authorized Seller | A seller included in your onboarding template and identified as approved to sell your products. |
Unauthorized Seller | Any seller not included in your authorized seller list. These sellers are automatically treated as unauthorized to provide visibility into the broader market. |
Seller Hierarchy | A grouping of related sellers under a primary seller name, used when parent and child seller relationships exist. |
Product Catalog | The list of SKUs you provide during onboarding, including attributes such as product name, SKU, brand, MSRP, and MAP price. |
Domain | A retailer or marketplace website where your products are monitored for MAP compliance. |
Promotion | A temporary MAP exception uploaded through a promo MAP file that allows specific pricing for a defined time period. |
Promotion Status | The current state of a promotion, such as scheduled, running, or ended. |
Crawl | A data collection event where MAP Intelligence checks monitored domains and compares observed prices to your MAP values. |
Crawl Frequency | How often data is refreshed, defined during onboarding based on your agreement. |
Evidence | Supporting details captured for a violation, including a screenshot, observed price, and timestamp. |
Export | A downloadable or scheduled report containing MAP data, violations, or seller activity. |
